COUNTY CARD – 2011

It is the County’s intention for the Yorkshire County Card to join the other English Counties in the existing COUNTRY WIDE SCHEME with over 1,000 Clubs to visit.

To this end, the names of the Golf Clubs of Yorkshire that have registered to participate in the Yorkshire County Card Scheme are to be forwarded to the co-ordinator of the National Scheme by the end of this month. Accordingly, if your Club does not wish to participate Nationally I would be grateful if you would inform me as soon as possible.

If your Club has not registered to take part in the scheme and you are considering joining, please register before 31^st August 2010 in order to be listed Nationally for 2011.

(To register please download a Registration Form from the Yorkshire Union Website www.yorkshireunionofgolf.co.uk and forward a completed version to John Shaw, Pinfold, Thrintoft, Northallerton DL7 0PW). Registration is free of charge.

The National Scheme mirrors that of Yorkshire in that:

1. Each Club monitors when Card Holders may visit them.
2. Each Club has total control of the discount that it offers.

The cost of a Yorkshire County Card is £10 per annum (1^st April to 31^st March).

N.B. Bulk Purchase and Life Membership schemes are currently being considered and there will be an announcement shortly.

THE SUCCESS OF THIS VENTURE COULD HAVE A DRAMATIC EFFECT ON INCREASING THE POPULARITY OF CLUB MEMBERSHIP!
